The Bahrain Golf Association (BGA) was established in 1995 (formerly Bahrain Golf Committee). The BGA is a non-member organization and its goals are;
To organize and co-ordinate the activities of the game of golf and strive to raise its standards in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
To represent the Kingdom of Bahrain in golf at regional, continental, and international levels.
To maintain and uphold the standards and rules of golf as approved by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, Scotland.
The BGA is a member of the following organizations;
Bahrain Olympic Committee
The Golf Organizing Committee of the GCC
Arab Golf Federation (AGF)
Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC)
International Golf Federation (IGF)
The BGA is also an affiliated association to the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, Scotland.
The BGA has represented the Kingdom of Bahrain in many occasions at regional and international levels.
